Acrylic Painting Class – with artist Jan Stephens

The Party House Group
This group was established decades ago and although has it has now dwindled to only a few members, they still get together on a Tuesday to work on artwork together at the art studio. If you would like to enquire about joining this group contact Robyn Banks on: 021 389 402
Wednesday:
Pastels – Untutored group – $6 (per session)
The Pastel group are currently an untutored group that meet every Wednesday, 9:30am – 1pm, to work with the medium of pastels. Please contact Margaret Philpott to enquire about joining this group on: 021 261 9964 or marg.35.philpott
Firebirds Pottery Group – $100 (annually)
Whangarei’s only established pottery group have permanent space set up in the Reyburn Art Studio. With their own kiln room and a set of potters wheels to play with this group is a great way to start your pottery exploration or to hone your existing pottery skills. The group meet on a Wednesday from 10am – 1pm and Thursday 1pm – 5pm. Joining this club costs $100 a year with optional tutored workshops happening periodically. Thursday:
Riverside Painters
The Riverside painters meet every Thursday at 9am – 12:30pm and are very productive painters. Although the group is untutored they have a great range of abilities with each helping where they can. Friday:
Friday Oil Painters – $5 (per session)
This group meet every Friday from 10am – 3pm and enjoy working with the challenging medium of oil paint. Although the group is currently untutored they offer good internal support passing information between each other. The group aim to hold an exhibition annually with new members welcomed. This group can also be used to explore other mediums so if you just want to paint and explore at a set time each week then please consider joining this group.
