Busy start to the new year
We’ve got ourselves organised and have exhibitions booked right through to the end of May 2014:
• 14th January – 31st January 2014; An exhibition by Nicola Sharma, Robyn Grant, & Di Badham
• 3rd February – 16th February 2014; South Korean sculptor Young Nam Park will be showcasing his skills
• 1st two weeks of March; Abstract paintings from Matilda Watts
• 5th May to the end of the month; the annual Whangarei School Heads exhibition
So plenty to look forward too!
Members Exhibition Summer 2013-14
MEMBERS’ EXHIBITION – 7th December 2013 to 12th January 2014
• Last date for acceptance of work – Friday 29th November
• Theme: Open
• Maximum size of works – 900mm x 900mm
• 3D works must be able to be displayed safely on gallery plinths and not exceed 300mm x 300mm
• Up to two works may be submitted
• Hanging fee – $10 per work
• All items must be presented, ready to hang, with a detachable label on the back detailing Title, Medium and sale price

Welcome to our new tutors
We welcome Richard & Diana Moore to our studio workshop. They are now tutoring art classes on Fridays between 8am and 12:30pm. Richard and Diana have been teaching art since 1997 and encourage all artists and wannabe artists to come to their classes. Volunteer at the NSA
The Society is always needing volunteers to do various jobs to help keep it running. All sorts of jobs from cleaning to sorting paperwork. So if you have a few minutes to spare and would like to be of some help please contact us or come in to the gallery and leave your name and contact phone number.
