CALENDAR COMPETITION EXHIBITION

Yes, it’s back, our fabulous Calendar Competition. This year we have some big cash prizes to give out to the winners, so start preparing your entries now!

This year there is to be….no theme!, You can enter whatever inspires you to create; is it our Northland weather that ignites your inner fires, or the changing colours of our native flora and fauna, maybe you find inspiration walking around our Town Basin or in the faces of the people that surround you, whatever your reason to create, we want to see it!

Fill in your entry form and get it back to us along with a brief bio and a snapshot of yourself which we can use for the calendar should you be chosen.
All entry forms should be sent to wendy@reyburnhouse.co.nz, or dropped to Reyburn Gallery  before the opening date of the exhibition.

The exhibition will run from 15th August until the 10th September 2023. Artwork for the exhibition should be dropped off to the Gallery anytime on Sunday the 13th or by 9am on Monday 14th of August. 

This year we are asking the public to choose all the winners. Visitors to the Gallery will have a chance to vote for their top artworks that they would like to see in the calendar. 

• Entries for NSA members will be $20 per submission.
• Non-members are invited this year at a cost of $30 per entry.
• All forms of art: paintings, ceramics wood etc. are acceptable.
• A landscape orientation would be more suitable for the calendar.
• All entries must be in the Gallery by 9am on the 14th August.
• All entries must have a label with the artist’s name, title of the work, medium and a  retail price.
• All artwork for hanging should have a suitable means of hanging.

Prizes

Twelve Selected for Inclusion –  Will earn a full colour page in the calendar, with their artwork, artist profile and picture. All will receive copy of the calendar.

During the exhibition, the public will be asked to vote for their favourites with the top places winning great cash prizes.

Artwork

Preferably landscape orientation for artwork, this is so we can scale it to fit landscape on the printed calendar. Work outside of this ratio will be accepted but may be cropped to fit calendar. Any form of visual art is welcome to enter but please no prints or artwork that has previously won any competitions, (original digital artwork is allowed).

Fill in an entry form  (Download or pick up from Reyburn House).

Send us a profile picture of yourself looking dapper along with a short artist biography.

Pay the entry fee: $20 for NSA Members and $30 for non NSA Members.

Dates for your diary

Send in your Entry form, brief biography and headshot of yourself before: 9am, Monday 14th August

Drop off your artwork to the Gallery: 10am – 2pm Sunday 13th August / Monday 14th at 9am

Pick up unsold artwork from Gallery: 2-3pm Sunday 10th September / Monday 11th, 9am-1pm
